Happy Hanukkah to all of our Jewish friends and family out there.
While we are not Jewish, my husbands extended family is. This Friday, December 11 marks the beginning of Hanukkah. So this week's newsletter is more focused on everything about it.
There is a really cute book that I read to my kids called "Latkes and Applesauce." I'm terrible with descriptions, so I copied this one from Scholastic.com to share with you all.
"A huge blizzard covers all the apples and potatoes disrupting the Menashe family's plans to feast on latkes and applesauce. In the end, the family is rewarded for their generosity to hungry animals with latkes and applesauce."
I highly recommend that you find time to read it to your kids. You won't regret it!
